LAS VEGAS, NV — September 2026 — Skin Rehab Lab, founded by award-winning paramedical tattoo artist and educator Cheryl Ipiales, has been nominated in three categories in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Best of Las Vegas 2026 awards: Restorative Tattoo, Med Spa and Women-Owned Business.
The three nominations recognize the unique space Skin Rehab Lab has created at the intersection of artistry, advanced scar restoration, education and compassionate client care.
Skin Rehab Lab specializes in restorative and paramedical tattoo techniques designed to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and other visible changes to the skin. Services include scar revision and camouflage, stretch mark revision, 3D areola realism and restorative treatments for clients following surgeries, injuries and other forms of skin trauma.

The nominations add to a growing list of recognition for Skin Rehab Lab and Ipiales. Ipiales earned First Place International in Paramedical Areola Realism at The Skin Games 2025, while Skin Rehab Lab was named Gold Winner for Med Spa in the FOX5 Las Vegas Viewer’s Choice Awards in both 2025 and 2026.
Her restorative work has also gained recognition within the medical and plastic surgery communities, helping bridge the often-overlooked gap between a successful surgical procedure and the final appearance of healed skin.
FROM PRACTITIONER TO EDUCATOR
Through the Skin Rehab Lab Academy, Ipiales has expanded that mission beyond the treatment room, providing specialized education in restorative and paramedical tattoo artistry to professionals seeking to develop their skills in working with scars, stretch marks and compromised skin.
The Academy was created to share the techniques, principles and real-world experience Ipiales has developed through years of specialized client work. Its educational programs emphasize not simply camouflage, but understanding scar tissue, skin tone, texture, layering and the artistry required to create results that look like skin—not a tattoo.
“My goal has always been bigger than treating one scar at a time,” said Ipiales. “Through the Academy, I have the opportunity to teach other artists how to approach this work with skill, intention and respect for the skin. The Women-Owned Business nomination carries particular significance for Ipiales, who built Skin Rehab Lab from a deeply personal connection to restorative work and has grown it into both a specialized practice and an educational platform.
