International Award-Winning Paramedical Tattoo Artist Cheryl Ipiales Selected to Speak at 2027 ASBM Convention in Park City, Utah
LAS VEGAS, NV — August 2026 — Cheryl Ipiales, internationally award-winning paramedical tattoo artist and founder of Skin Rehab Lab and Skin Rehab Lab Academy, has been selected as a speaker at the 2027 ASBM Convention in Park City, Utah, joining a distinguished international gathering of plastic surgeons, physicians and aesthetic medical professionals from around the world.
ASBM brings together many of the world’s most respected and accomplished plastic surgeons and medical professionals, with representation from more than 60 countries. The convention provides an international platform for education, innovation, collaboration and the exchange of advanced techniques and ideas within plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine.
For Ipiales, the invitation represents much more than a speaking engagement. It is an opportunity to bring greater awareness to the growing field of paramedical tattooing and restorative scar work and to share how these specialized services can become an important part of a patient’s journey following plastic and reconstructive surgery.
“To have the opportunity to stand alongside some of the world’s finest surgeons and medical professionals and share the work I am so passionate about is an incredible honor,” said Ipiales. “Being given a voice for paramedical tattooing on a platform of this caliber means so much to me. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned, the results we are achieving and, most importantly, the impact this work can have on patients after surgery.”
Ipiales specializes in scar and stretch mark revision and camouflage, restorative paramedical tattooing and 3D areola realism, working with clients following plastic and reconstructive surgery, breast cancer treatment, significant weight loss, accidents, trauma and other life-changing experiences.
Her work is centered on an often-overlooked part of the patient experience: what happens after the surgery and after the physical healing has taken place.
“Surgeons can perform extraordinary, life-changing work, but sometimes a scar remains as the final visible reminder of everything a patient has been through,” Ipiales said. “Paramedical tattooing gives us another tool to address that final stage. My passion is helping bridge the space between surgical healing and helping someone truly feel comfortable in their skin again.”
Ipiales’ work has earned international recognition, including First Place in Paramedical Areola Realism at The Skin Games, as well as consecutive community recognition in Las Vegas through the FOX5 Viewer’s Choice Awards.
In 2026, she also launched Skin Rehab Lab Academy, expanding her mission into professional education and helping advance knowledge, standards and awareness of restorative and paramedical tattoo artistry.
With Skin Rehab Lab expanding beyond its Las Vegas roots into Hermosa Beach, California, and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Ipiales continues to build relationships within the plastic surgery and aesthetic medical communities while serving clients who travel from across the country for specialized restorative work.
Her selection to speak at the 2027 ASBM Convention represents another important step toward bridging the worlds of plastic surgery, aesthetics and restorative tattoo artistry and bringing paramedical tattooing into a broader international medical conversation.
“Every scar has a story, and there is a person behind every one of those stories,” Ipiales said. “To be able to share my passion, my experience and the possibilities of this work with surgeons from around the world is something I am incredibly proud of. I’m honored to represent this field and excited for what this conversation can mean for the future of patient care.”
The 2027 ASBM Convention will take place in Park City, Utah, bringing together leading surgeons and medical professionals representing more than 60 countries for an international exchange of education, expertise and innovation.
