Proper aftercare is one of the most important parts of achieving optimal fibroblast healing and long-term results. Healing response can vary depending on the treatment area, skin type, treatment intensity, lifestyle, and individual skin behavior. Following your aftercare instructions closely helps support proper healing, collagen remodeling, and overall treatment outcome.
What to Expect After Your Treatment
Fibroblast treatments create controlled micro-injuries within the skin designed to stimulate tightening, contraction, and collagen production. As the skin heals, small carbon crusts will form in the treated areas and naturally shed over time.
Swelling, tightness, redness, tenderness, and heat are all normal parts of the healing process during the first several days.
Healing Timeline
Days 1–3
During the first few days after treatment, it is normal to experience:
• Swelling
• Tightness
• Tenderness
• Warmth or heat in the skin
• Redness
• Small brown carbon crusts forming across the treated areaDo not pick, peel, scratch, or force the crusts off prematurely. Premature removal can lead to irritation, pigmentation issues, delayed healing, or scarring.
Swelling is often most noticeable around delicate areas such as the eyes and may appear more significant in the mornings.
Days 4–6
At this stage, swelling typically begins to decrease while the skin may still feel tight, dry, or sensitive.
You may notice:
• Carbon crusts beginning to lift naturally
• Mild itching as the skin heals
• Pink or red skin underneath the crusts
• Dryness or flakingContinue following all aftercare instructions carefully and avoid exfoliating or disrupting the healing skin.
Days 7–10
Most crusts will naturally shed during this phase.
Once shedding occurs:
• The skin may appear pink, red, or sensitive
• New skin may feel delicate or tight
• Mild residual swelling or redness may still be present
• Mineral SPF may be resumed after crusts have fully shedDo not resume active skincare products until the skin is fully healed.
Weeks 3–4
The skin continues healing beneath the surface even after visible crusting has resolved.
You may still notice:
• Mild redness or sensitivity
• Tightness within the treated area
• Ongoing collagen remodeling and skin contractionAvoid harsh exfoliation, aggressive skincare, direct sun exposure, and heat-based treatments during this stage.
Months 2–3
Fibroblast results continue improving over time as collagen remodeling progresses.
During this phase:
• Skin continues tightening and refining
• Texture may continue improving
• Healing fully normalizes
• Final results gradually become more visibleCollagen production and tissue remodeling can continue developing for several months following treatment.
